When IB students are asked about the most memorable part of their education, the Extended Essay frequently gets a mention. This is a 4000- word essay in an academic subject and it is excellent preparation for university study. Students devise their own topic and conduct their own research under the guidance of a supervisor. Our year 11 students embarked on this journey last week with a visit to the UNSW library, where they got a tour of the facilities and their own library cards.
